Finding just the right wine isn’t always easy. With so many flavor profiles and a wide selection to choose from, it can be tricky to know where to start.

This is what inspired entrepreneur Jeff Gillis to partner with Chop Dawg in building his dream app. He sought a simple “on-ramp” for any level of wine connoisseur to quickly learn about wine. No more wandering around the aisles, reading labels, asking for recommendations from servers or grocery store employees. As a long-time lover of good wine and fine cuisine himself, Jeff was perfectly situated to help curate Winelike’s in-app experience. What started as a prototype is now under development to be launched to the App Store and Google Play.

Winelikes is also for the experienced wine enthusiast who wants to try something new.

Users will be able to generate a unique taste profile all their own to guide them towards the types of wines they are more likely to love. Scroll and browse through an newsfeed-driven UI to interact with the Winelikes community, find new users to follow and connect with, post your photos, reviews, and ratings for wines you’ve tried.

Users can curate their favorite wines on their profile, navigate wine pairings and interact with in-app offerings.

It is truly a social media experience built for the love of wine. Simply add wines to their personal and shared “wine cellars” or “favorites”, learn more about wines with an education and quiz feature, even join in on unique and fun challenges.
