SeekQ is an intentionally designed social media app encouraging connection based on immediacy and deeper interests.

Social media has brought each of us closer together. But in other ways, we’ve never been farther apart. SeekQ is an app brought to market by appreneur Stephen Geday to connect users based on highly customizable interests and set nearby geolocation parameters. With the ability to add custom interests to their profile (both public and private) in relation to their core values, the app is designed to bring users with common likes together.

The Fishbowl and The Sea feature(s) unique to SeekQ allow users to connect with those nearby in real-time or join the entire user pool.

With in-app messaging between connections based on shared interests, SeekQ allows users to see who’s around them in real-time. Users can create a bio, upload photos and video to their unique profile, and display interests.
Important to the app is a robust administrator application capable of monitoring the space and ensuring users feel safe and protected as they connect. We’ve equipped the SeekQ team with a state-of-the-art admin backend built as a website application to help manage content. SeekQ was created as an app using React Native and REST APIs, supporting iOS 12, iOS 13, iOS 14, iOS 15 and Android 9, Android 10, Android 11, Android 12.

SeekQ was also built with an in-app ad network to support future scaleability. Additionally, users can sign up for a subscription for no ads and access to premium features, including the ability to create groups for in-app connections to join and a heat meter to gauge the strength of new connections.
