The costs of owning a pet continue to increase, and the consumer demand is also rising. Your pets are a part of your family, require a lot of love, attention, care, and needs. And that’s expensive.

With a keen understanding of the financial burden that this could impose on many middle-class families, PawPass was born. The concept? For a little bit of money every month, PawPass members will receive hundred of dollars worth of free services, discounted products, promotions, and more.

Chop Dawg built PawPass to be a robust app that could handle and support over 1,282 products, and 24 companies at launch. There an average of 15% of savings from each of these companies the day the product first launched. PawPass owners were now able to save hundreds of dollars a month while spending no more than what a cup of plain black coffee would cost at a cafe.

PawPass was built for scalability in mind, while simultaneously, acting as the definition of a purebred (pun intended) minimum viable product.

PawPass had an interesting dilemma when they reached out to Chop Dawg; they had enough investor dollars to get into the market, but not enough to serve their full desired audience. With a little bit of planning, Chop Dawg and PawPass realized they could build an app that could accomplish this while not exceeding any funds.

Chop Dawg programmed PawPass to be a monthly subscription service that the PawPass team could easily manage via the powerful WordPress backend without having to break the bank. Chop Dawg was able to incorporate the custom designs and branding that PawPass provided into the WordPress platform, and allow the grand vision to work day one without any issues or hiccups.

"I’ve never seen a company with such a robust skill set and that proves it on a daily basis. They’ve met every expectation we’ve had of them. I don’t know what I’d suggest they improve on. They’ve made our lives extremely easy."

Some of the technology that we supported when we created the PawPass app

PawPass was developed on WordPress using PHP with Laravel, HTML5, and CSS3. PawPass also supported the WooCommerce subscription plugin, and the Stripe Merchant API for processing transactions.

We're a full stack design & development agency that is as hands-on as a CTO+Team out of the box. It is much harder to find a team with great chemistry that has the shared talent to back it up, and we take pride in our effort to achieve both.
