While at the same time making a positive impact on the environment, the state of Wisconsin and Focus on Energy have followed up on their mission to help local citizens by creating an application called Light Bulb Finder. The user experience would need to be as frictionless as possible, while still allowing Light Bulb Finder to collect the necessary information from users and give a lot of educational value in return.
The result of designing the app on this principle is something that is very visually-driven. This not only helps guides the citizen’s of Wisconsin to better understand the light fixtures they have in their homes but to better understand their alternatives to save money.
Customers do need to do a bit of homework the beginning: identify the types of outlets they have, light bulb bases, and lighting preferences, but that’s it! In return, they are provided with the recommended light bulb replacements the can offer significant discounts. Customers can also see how much per year they can save by replacing their light bulbs and how quickly they’ll see their savings build up!
We built the application as a responsive website application using PHP with Laravel, MySQL, HTML5, and CSS3. For the administrator and server-side, we programmed the app in PHP with Laravel. The frontend website was created using WordPress, HTML5, and CSS3.
We're a full stack design & development agency that is as hands-on as a CTO+Team out of the box. It is much harder to find a team with great chemistry that has the shared talent to back it up, and we take pride in our effort to achieve both.
