GOING FOR 4 IN A ROW...
The 1983 DAWGS had to carry on without Herschel, but a core of talented seniors kept the team unbeaten through the Florida game and carried on the tradition of New Year's Day bowls. Tough tests early included UCLA at home and Clemson on the road; toward the end of the season came one of the most improbable wins ever over Florida and a thriller at Grant Field; and then of course the DAWGS answered the question"What time is it in Texas?" Larry continues in fine fettle, and maybe it's a blessing in disguise that we didn't come back to beat Auburn(..."Georgia's got the ball! Auburn knocked it back!
